The sheep aren't actually MINE! Sorry to disappoint you Mia! They are just spending the winter on our land. Sheepish "Bed and Breakfast"!
But there is something very calming about getting up on a sunny frosty morning and wandering across the fields to check up on them. They are getting used to me now I think - the first time I visited I caused a stampede! They stand there munching grass and their lives are conducted at such a slow pace (stampedes aside!) that I feel myself relax and breathe more deeply. Well... until I realise they have squeezed through the fence into our EU-subsidised woodland and are calmly nibbling away at our precious trees! NO!!!
I had a lovely evening - roses, champagne, crackers (not fireworks - the kind you pull at Christmas!) and a deluge of chocolates from my First Love - wow! PLUS he bought me some YARN! Now this is something of a first, and a very valiant one - how does a non-knitting man choose yarn for his knit-obsessed partner? And how does she best honour his gift?!
So I need your help! What can I do with two balls of Sirdar Blur, colourway "Feather"? Please, I need some ideas!
And because it is my birthday I will award a PRIZE for the best suggestion, as judged by my daughter. Something knitterly....
Just leave a comment with your email address by Monday 4 December at noon (UK time). The winning suggestion will be announced here on the blog.
Inspire me!

Well, you really do not have enough to make a jumper. So how about a scarf of some sort for your daughter? There is the pattern for a Vegan Fox in an old issue of Knitty that might give you some ideas.
And the sheep are yours while they live on your lands ;)
