I am a laundry bag

So I spent all day yesterday making my lovely (Japanese pattern) Liberty print smock.

I really really like it!

But my First Love thinks it is hilarious. It's just as well I am confident in my own style, because he told me I look like one of those oversized red and white check bags people use to take their dirty washing to the laundrette.

And I love this man?!

I knit him sea wool socks?!

Speaking of which, I am knitting away happily. I decided to be bold in the leg length before the heel-turn. I may regret this decision.

Otherwise, my weekend involved ripping up the 30-plus-years-old stair carpet. Lots of dust. No replacement yet - I might just leave the bare wood.
And planting herb seeds in the greenhouse in a valiant attempt to repopulate the rabbit-infested herb garden. Yes, I know, I need a proper fence.
I have taken two days off work (I don't get the Bank Holidays off automatically) just to do these spring-like things. Tomorrow we are going for a long walk along a valley which ends at Pennan (beach where Local Hero was filmed).
Pictures will follow!

Oooo. Sea Wool is definitely definitely a vvvvv nice yarn... Very cute top too - ignore the man. What do men know about fashion and clothes anyway? ;)
