Rooknitting has tagged me – I think this is her getting her own back after I tagged her for the 8 things meme…
So:
4 jobs I have had in my life:
Checkout operator at Asda, aged 16 in my school holidays. Learned to open plastic bags easily (spit on your fingers – eergh!)
School Meals Accounts officer – “Hello? Yes Mrs B, how many pounds of liver did the butcher deliver this week, cos there’s blood all over the invoice and I can’t read it…”
Adoption and Fostering administrator – including helping adopted people trace their birth families – fascinating and often upsetting
PA to a Director in a charity – including taking her false teeth to the dentist to be repaired – dogsbody? ME?!
4 films I can watch again and again:
Truly Madly Deeply
The Shipping News
Chicago
Carmen Flamenco – if you haven’t seen it, you must!
4 places I have lived:
Hull in East Yorkshire for University
Leeds in West Yorkshire – for MORE University
Brixton, London – for work
Farmhouse in North East Scotland – for love
4 TV series I watch:
Masterchef – with the kids
How To Look Good Naked – I know, I know, but it makes good knitting viewing!
Errr… I am stuck. I don’t watch much tv at all.
4 places I have been on holiday:
Ullapool – very recently – it was wonderful!
Skye – when I was 16 and again earlier this year – glorious!
Amsterdam – when I was married, my mother-in-law lived there for a few years. Great place!
Tuscany – before I had children, my then-husband and I had our one and only “expensive” holiday to Italy. It was very middle-class and very English and the only time I ever bought new clothes to go on holiday.
4 things I do every time I am on the Net:
Check my emails
Check Ebay
Read my favourite blogs
Check the “what’s new” section of my favourite wool websites
4 things I would NOT eat for anything in the world:
Mint ice-cream – like eating frozen toothpaste
Bacon sandwich – a teacher once told me that all pigs have worms… and cooking didn’t kill them (sorry!)
Anything that is still moving
I think I have said enough on that subject
4 places I would love to be right now:
At home with First Love – he hasn’t been well for a week and I worry when I am at work (even though it’s nothing serious, he so rarely admits to illness …)
By the seaside – I know it isn’t far away cos the oyster catchers are on the roof, but I can’t quite see it!
Knitting at the treehouse
Somewhere with natural light. There is a massive tree outside my work window and it totally blocks all daylight in the summer, so I feel like a mole when I emerge, blinking, at 5pm.
Am I meant to think of 4 new victims for this tag? Errr... I do fear that most people I "know" have done this one already...
ETA: OK let's tag Gilraen, Twelfth Knit, G. and Robynn!

I'm with about 'Truly , MAdly, Deeply' - such a great film. Trouble is(well, for the neighbours) that when they do the whole TMD thing and end up singing at the piano, I just HAVE to join in....
I'm an East coaster - grew up in FIfe, lived in Arbroath before I moved near Glasgow. I love the west coast, but miss the 'Fifeness' of Fife.
And Skye - wonderful place - I go every year for a Gaelic course and last year managed lunch at The Three Chimneys - yum!
India
I so agree about anything minty. Since pregnancy I can only eat real mint sauce, nothing else! :)
I haven't done this one before, thanks for sharing :)
OK, now I'm curious - is your first love not your husband then? (Tuscany comment)Or not your first husband? Did you meet him before your husband? Iknow, I know, it's rude to ask but you did just drop it in there and I'm terribly nosey it's true. And I pass your shop just about every day so my curiosity is well and truly piqued!!
Hang on, you have a shop? How did I miss this?
