Footloose on Friday

Another weekend – and none too soon! Tomorrow we are driving to Glasgow to visit FL’s brother-in-law (his sister’s husband). This is a bit of a monumental occasion as I have not been introduced to anyone in his family. I wonder if he will admit we are married?! We were going to meet his brother too, but he and his wife are both too unwell to travel. Age is really catching up with this family!

The kids are off to London to see their dad (it’s half-term) so when we come back I have two whole evenings without them. Don’t get me wrong: I love my kids! But sometimes the noise levels are too much for me. Two peaceful evenings of dog-walking and knitting - bliss!



Knitting? Well, I managed to stick to the plan and am knitting long stripey socks from my recent Netherland-ese purchase. Long? VERY long! 46cm of long! The kids are simultaneously amused and horrified. Wait til they see the new shoes I have bought to wear with my handknitted socks - tee hee hee!
