Hospital and socks

Finished the second sock! Now wrapped and under the tree (aka a big branch!).

FL's Haematology appointment today was a washout. They were so busy that people were queuing by the lifts. So when FL's name was called it was to say the Doctor had nothing to tell him, so bye bye have a happy Christmas!

So some relief that nothing has changed, but a lot of frustration that we didn't get the chance to talk to the Doctor about his memory troubles and chest infection. I suppose we could have demanded our five minutes but it was so oppressive in the waiting room we just wanted to go home asap. Now not sure whether he will be seen next month instead, since they made the point that they were sending off his blood for the Free Light Chain test today. Presumably that means a result next month?

Anyway, here is a sneak peak of my new knitting: Mulled Wine by Loumms Year of Socks!

Well done on finishing the second sock. Not sure what to think about the appointment - but most importantly, have a very happy Christmas!

That's frustrating about the appointment, but good about the sock.
