FL insisted on going to the hospital on his own today. This was because he was only due a Zometa infusion, and wasn't scheduled to see the Doctor.
However, as I should have predicted, on the one and only occasion I was not there to hold his hand and ask the Doctor to repeat every word so he could hear (!), he not only saw the Doc, but was also given "news".
"There is a slow and gradual increase. It is not worth treating."
WTF?
I want numbers. I want the meaning behind "not worth treating".
That's the last time he goes to the hospital without me!

OMG! WTF! Exactly! Oh dear - now then, does the doc at the hospital write their views/findings/prognosis to FL's GP, so you can get a copy of it?

Is FL reciting what he heard, parrotting what was actually said, or simply saying what he wants you to hear.
Get numbers. Get a report.
