Velcade Cycle 3, Day One and RESULTS!

Back to Haematology today for FL's Velcade infusion.

And some very good news!

17 September 2009: Kappa light chains: 690, Kappa/Lamda ratio: 110

9 November 2009: Kappa light chains: 75, Kappa / Lamda ratio: 8.09

The Velcade is working!

The doctor was very positive. She sounded FL's chest and reminded him to ask for more antibiotics on Thursday if his infection has not cleared up by then. Other than that, she was very pleased with his response to the treatment and gave the go-ahead for another Cycle.

Woo hoo!

Fantastic news! Hope FL is feeling better. You must have some patience to knit like you do. I learned just a bit on the advice of someone who told me it would keep me sane while going through cancer with my hubby. I did a few small projects but find I can't wait for the finished product that long. As far as keeping me sane, I'm not sure that was ever a possibility anyway. ;o)
