The kids are home safe and sound, and we celebrated Christmas last night!
This morning, we took delivery of a "mini orchard" of five fruit trees. This is FL's present to me for our second wedding anniversary. We will have to keep them alive until the thaw when they can be planted!
The delivery man walked up the hill across the ice and was very proud of himself for beating the elements!
The ice is still lying on top of the snow. It peels off in a sheet when you step on it - look! You can't quite see, but this is a layer of snow, a sheet of ice, and then another layer of snow. No doubt there is a Scandinavian term for this very particular type of ground-covering. Reading Tove Jansson has been very appropriate in these conditions!
As you can see, I gifted myself with the Joules stripey armwarmers - woo hoo!
Back to knitting today - CPH here I come!

Phew! Glad to see you're not as cut off as you were. I have to say the delivery and post office people this year, have been fantastic at getting stuff to us, especially in the rural areas, haven't they?
