It was FL's regular Zometa appointment at the hospital, but he asked to see the doctor.
I was still trying to find a parking space when he was taken - I knew I should have let him drive! (I ended up parked on the pavement a ten minute walk away from the hospital!) So when I got to the waiting room there was no sign of him and I had to ring his mobile phone. He appeared from a consulting room and ushered me in. Grrr. Talk about feeling flustered and caught on the wrong foot!
So, the Doctor had listened to his tales of back pain and is going to order a full skeletal x-ray.
It had also been decided to send this month's blood off to Birmingham for the Freelite test. We will get the results next month, and find out if his Myeloma is behaving itself, or not.
FL had not asked about the "liver issue", so I did. The Doctor checked back through all the computer records of his blood tests and confirmed that there is absolutely NO indication of a problem with his liver. That radiographer got it completely wrong! I am both relieved and annoyed that we have been living in fear of some new and major "issue", when there was nothing to worry about.
16 rows of sock knitted while he had his Zometa infusion. Now we have to wait for an appointment for an x-ray, hopefully before next month's check-up and Freelite results.
