Snatched from my hot little fingers with ten seconds to spare!
Did you win this fabulous skirt pattern on eeebaaay recently?
Simplicity 7869, from approx 1970.
I can't find it anywhere.
It is now top of my wish list.
If you see it - you will tell me won't you?

That is a skirt pattern after my own heart. But it wasn't me!
nor me! But, I was looking at the SEW magazine in Tescioes yesterday and they are givng away a free pattern with each mag - they are different ones, and one of them was a very similar pattern to this one. I was tempted myself, but it is nowhere near my size, so I didn't bother.
I hate losing with such a short time, or little amount of money at stake, bah!
It seems to me that with your re-drafting prowess, you could draft a pattern for this skirt without too much trouble. (I know you might want to make a muslin toile as an intermediary step.)
I haven't got it now, but I'm sure I made it in the 70s, oh why oh why didn't I keep all those old patterns!! Mind you I would have to seriously resize them if I were to use them again!!
Same as Bagqueen - I made it quite a few times and if I coud make it then it was easy. don't wory - one will turn up.
I take it really personally when someone outbids me at the last minute on ebay. Especially when there are only seconds to spare, and you're starting to look forward to the item arriving and then BAM! Some bugger is in there with bidsniper or some other cheaty way to steal your item. Making me angry just thinking about it, Roo.
I knew you would understand! Yes, I could probably draft something similar... but this would have been "ready" in my size and includes 3 really great styles. Must be patient!
