Just marking the spot in the diary: today was FL's regular appointment at Haematology.
Kidneys "fine", liver "fine", calcium "fine", white cells "holding up", haemoglobin "pretty steady".
Today's blood will be sent to Birmingham for a Freelite test, results next month.
No Zometa until we know what is happening with his jaw. He has an appointment with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on 16 December. If there is any sign of "bone death", the Consultant says he will not be given Zometa again and they would have to think "very long and hard" about an alternative.
He continues on Revlimid, 3 weeks on, one week off, and Dexamethazone (20 tablets once a week).
Back to Haematology on 23 December - fab!
Now if you will excuse me, I have to take The Girl to the airport. She is flying to London for an interview for 6th Form College. This would be for a place to start at College next September.
Due to the impending public service strike tomorrow she is having to fly early, even though the interview is not until Thursday. She is taking plenty of homework with her!
